REHASWiSS supports disabled persons by meeting their requirements with projects and micro-credits. Individual projects include supplying simple tools and machines to enable their craft work. Since the year 2000 the individual projects have been financed through micro-credits to enhance the sustainability of the projects. With a micro-credit the disabled persons can start small businesses like shops, tea houses or livestock. The credits should be paid back, where possible fully, in regular small repayments within three years. These repayments go into a revolving fund, which is administered by a self-help group for the disabled. The fund will then supply new credits for new set ups. If necessary, the fund can also lend to existing projects to ensure their stability.
